How To Use A Nail Gun

Step 1: Put on safety glasses

Putting safety glasses on your eyes before starting a project is a universal truth. Put on you safety glasses before you start handling the gun.

Step 2: Loading the nail gun

Manufacturer always try to differentiate their guns form the competitors, but the magazines are usually located on the bottom part of the air tool or near the back. Open the magazines and slide the nail strips in it. After that close the magazines securely.

Step 3: Practice on wood scraps

This kind of guns need pressure including proper timing to work accurately. Turn on the power and get used to with the trigger. Then try to test different extent of pressure through different time period on wood scraps. Whenever you find the perfect pressure and timing you good to go and ready to start your project. You may need few practice shot to make it user friendly.

Step 4: Your intended project

4(a) Use your hand to hold the handle of the gun in a way, that you can have easy access of the trigger. Put the gun with caution against the surface you want to nail.

4(b) Your hands should be stable to position the gun on right place, so that it won’t displace from the intended point. Keep enough distance between the gun and your body, but sure that distance will not make you unstable.

4(c) Pull the trigger and release it right away. You are done with your first nailing. You should always remember that, do not hold the trigger after you done with one nail. Holding the trigger may cause multiple shooting in the same place and that will be a mess with several nails. As a result this will jam the gun.

Step 5:  Unplug

After you done with your nailing, disconnect the power. If you need more nails to put, start again from the step 2.

Cautions

Keep away from children Keep out of power source or in a box when you are not using it While using, do not pressure the gun with your chest or stomach. There will be a certain kick back when you fire the nail. So, you may have serious injury of you use chest or stomach or other part of the body rather than your hand.
